Special Offers Coming Soon - how exciting!

Savings are coming to you 1-21 September during our Special Offers promotion!
This is the first time Stampin' Up! are doing Special Offers. As a reminder, Special Offers is the promotion that replaced Weekly Deals. Weekly Deals began to help reduce overstocked inventory, and as the excess inventory was reduced, the variety of products available for Weekly Deals decreased.
This made the deals less exciting, so Stampin' Up! decided to replace them with a less frequent promotion called Special Offers.

Special Offers will occur every few months (as inventory allows) with more products than Weekly Deals had.

Check back for full details on 30 August.

The Precision Base Plate

Do you have a problem cutting very detailed dies? Have you tried popping a shim between or the good old bubble wrap trick. I know I have tried all those things in the past. Detailed dies are great, but sometimes it's hard to make all of the fine cuts crisp and sharp. Problem solved! The Precision Base Plate adds a little more oomph to your die sandwich.

Check out this video and if you would like to order one, please email me or go to my online shop and get it sent straight to your door.

Tin of Tags Project Kit

I just received my pre order from the new Holiday Catalogue coming out in September and one of the things I got was the Tin of Tags Project Kit. I am more than a little bit thrilled with this and can see it being given to a few of my crafty friends as Christmas presents.

Here is a video presented by one of the ladies from Stampin' Up!, I think you will love them too, so put them on your wish list for September.

Annual Christmas Card Workshops

It has come around to that time of year again where the Paper Angels hold their Annual Christmas Card Workshops. We have received so many enquiries already about this year’s charity events and bookings are now officially open.

I will be attending the Wellington Point, Cooroy venues, and Pine Rivers if required, so you have a choice! You will love all the cards and other projects we will be making this year, I am so excited about them all, I can hardly wait.

We are very grateful to Stampin' Up! Australia for providing us once again with donations of SU products to raffle at each event, so please bring some extra cash for tickets for what will be a fantastic array of products to win! All proceeds from the raffles goes to the Mater Mothers Bereavement Program and other hospital support programs.

**Payment is required at the time of booking so that your kit may be ordered.**

Please book with me by email or phone 0402441964. Places are limited and some venues will book out quickly, so please do book in promptly to avoid disappointment.

Would you like to make a difference in someones life?

Help Stampin’ Up! support families through Ronald McDonald House Charities. Buy the My Hero Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to RMHC. Together we can make a difference.

Once a month I visit Ronald McDonald House Herston and make cards with the residents and also leave a box of cards for them to use. I haven't seen any of the other houses around Australia but if they are anything like the Herston one then they are a true blessing for our rural families. This is a time when families from the outer Brisbane areas (more than 50klms) need support while waiting on surgery or recovering from treatments. This house offers that support and allows families to be together.

These houses need our support, as volunteers and financial, so when you look at this stamp set below think of it as helping to "Make a Difference" This versatile stamp set can be used for all occasions, Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Halloween, Celebrations and Sickness. Order it online or email me to order it for you and I will include a sample card to inspire you.

Children's cards

If you have been following my blog you will know that I have been doing a lot of cards for different charities. The latest being North Queensland Rural Family Services.

Well a few weeks ago I got a lovely phone call from Jeannie who lives in Charters Towers and is the one we sent all the cards to, for her to distribute. She wanted to thank us for all the work we had done and that for most people a card was just a nice card but for these people doing it tough it was something very special. I wanted to pass on this thanks to all the people that came to my studio and helped make this possible. Also thanks to Nikki Burton for suggesting we make these cards, when she attended our fundraiser. Now we are going one step further, we are creating cards for the children and will also divide these up so that Ronald McDonald House gets some as well.

Because colouring books are big at the moment we thought that the kids might like to have a card that they could colour in and give away or give them to their friends to colour in. So thinking caps on, what type of stamp could we use? "From the Herd" stamp set was suggested. That posed a problem as it is a discontinued stamp set that I did not have. Liz another of our Paper Angels had just sold hers so she put the call out to the other Angels and luckily Shelagh was quick to respond. Crikey, I can't believe how wonderful and generous people are when the call for help is put out.

So my lovely friend Astrid Howell set to work making a zillion cards. Well maybe not a zillion, smile!!

This is what she made.

Aren't they just the ants pants. I think they will go down a treat. Also Astrid printed out these little instructions to pop in with the card. Isn't she a gem?

Crazy day

What a crazy day we had in class today. Splotches that had to be covered up and too many choices of colours had us all wishing there was some wine left over from my Friday class. (yes, we have one glass just to wind down after working for the week)

Any way after all the giggles and stress over how to cover up splotches we made 3 delightful cards. This is what they turned out like. I do love the new Vertical Greetings stamp set.

Love the Swirly Bird Bundle

The Swirly Bird Bundle is definitely a new annual catalogue favourite, as it is everywhere on Pintrest and I have been having so much fun playing with it lately.
The stamp set paired with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies offers countless combinations. Stay tuned as very soon I will be posting many ideas for this set.

Shannon West is the Training Manager for Stampin’ Up! and she has made this video using my new favourite stamp set.
Check out  how she uses the bundle to create a stack of cute birthday cards. I recon you'll want to buy your own bundle and make your own stack of cards!

A busy month of classes

Today was a full house, but loads of fun. We created 8 Christmas cards with a bit of a twist. One of my ladies had asked if we could do a One Sheet wonder technique, so I thought this would make a great way to showcase this technique. We used an A4 sheet of Whisper White and created our own Christmas background. We sponged, stamped masked and used bleach to stamp. Once our background was created we cut up the sheet to create our 8 cards.

If anyone would like instructions on my One Sheet Wonder I would be happy to send the instructions, all you need to do is email me.

This is the sheet I created before it was cut up. Can you see the stamp sets we used.?

Here are the eight cards we made, the beauty of this type of technique is that each one is unique.

You've Got This

I love this stamp set and so did everyone else that made these three cards. I actually had to hold and extra class to accommodate everyone.

This is what we made, thanks to our very creative and inspiring demonstrators Teneale Williams  and Sue Maddox for the inspiration.

We used the Naturals DSP as one of the layers. I love this stack especially the Soft Suede as it looks like gold and the Smokey Slate looks like silver, so very pretty. I stamped the Mint Macaron card using Versamark. The fussy cut flower was painted using an Aqua painter and stamped with black Stazon.

This had so many layers, Whisper White base, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron DSP another layer of Watermelon Wonder and the topped with Vellum,

Love the bundles

I can't believe how fast this month has gone and that we are now well and truly getting close to Christmas. I am going to start focusing on Christmas themes in my upcoming classes and I will also be putting a call out for some help to make Christmas Cards for North Queensland Rural Family Services.

Right now though I would like to share what we have been making this month, I adore the bundle Floral Phrases.

We used the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies and sponged a layer to put behind, oh so pretty don't you think?

I love this one the new In Colour Emerald Envy is fast becoming a favourite.

The sweet border from Floral Phrases stamp set finishes this card off beautifully.
